One thing that always surprised and impressed me was that despite the considerable amount of nudity in the manga it never really seemed sexualised. A bit like Dragon Ball in that sense. It made shots which these days would come across as irritatingly fanservicy seem innocent.
And you have a good point there, there were lots of nudity shots - though always with the crotch cleverly hidden, that always amused me - but it's like no one made much of a deal out of it. Instead it would be more importantly, where did the escaped bean-demon of evil go?! or something. Good stuff.
